Last night’s Entrepreneurship 101 speaker, Dr. David Dime, the founder of Toronto Research Chemicals, described a 25-year process of growing a successful 70-person company from scratch - entirely self-funded growth, without ever taking any investor backing. In previous talks we’ve heard from venture-backed companies whose founders have sold off significant portions of their companies to investors in exchange for (hoped for) fast track growth.
