One-stop shopping for Clean Tech funding
Environment Canada recently released a website (Funding Technologies for the Environment) dedicated to tracking, updating, alerts for and generally providing information on all of the funding opportunities available to support environmental technology advancement. The site provides information on relevant federal, provincial and private sector funding and incentive programs. The goal is to advance Canadian environment technologies by making access and information gathering easier and more efficient.
The site includes details on:
- 25 Federal Government Programs
- 7 Provincial Government Programs
- 9 Third Party/Other Programs (Banks, GMF, SDTC, etc)
Check back regularly, or sign up for their alert service, as they continue to add content including international programs and new federal initiatives being announced in April.
It’s an excellent initiative by Environment Canada, and something that other agencies (Industry Canada?) should mirror in other sectors. It demonstrates great leadership the part of Environment Canada, and is a service sorely needed in all fields of research and development.
